– The inclusion of "Inc." and "Limited" in these titles seems inappropriate per WP:NCCORP. The "International" is also typically omitted from discussions of the drone company, but seems necessary for disambiguation of the topic from Zipline Creative Limited. Note that Zipline International was originally created independently as an article on the same topic before it was discovered that this article already existed, so that name was redirected here – I'm not sure what should happen with that article's edit history – perhaps a {{histmerge}} may be needed. Note that Zipline Safari and Zip-line also exist. —BarrelProof (talk) 21:25, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Move page

[edit]

I recommend that we retitle the page to something that is more descriptive of the company. There is no International in the name of the company.

Zipline (Drone Delivery) ?--Akrasia25 (talk) 18:44, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Zipline (drone delivery company) or Zipline (drone company) might be better. Perhaps we should start a formal RM discussion, although I'm not sure that's necessary. I'm not sure where the "International" in the title came from – maybe it's part of the formal legal name but they don't use it, or maybe it was a prior name that they no longer use. 20:27, 23 May 2019 (UTC)—BarrelProof (talk)
I agree that Zipline (drone delivery company) is best. They don't sell drones but are a delivery company. I also don't see the need for a RM if we have this discussion on the talk page.--Akrasia25 (talk) 02:03, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's a bit verbose, but I don't have a better idea. —BarrelProof (talk) 21:29, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to move the page to Zipline (drone delivery) on May 29th.@BarrelProof:--Akrasia25 (talk) 22:36, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus is to fix the disambiguator due to it being nonstandard. I will pick "(drone delivery company)" on precision grounds. (non-admin closure)Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 16:55, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Zipline (drone delivery)Zipline (drone delivery company) – or Zipline (delivery company). Without the word "company", the disambiguation term seems incomplete as a descriptor. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:08, 4 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! Zipline (drone delivery company) is best. They are not a general delivery company--Akrasia25 (talk) 22:33, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Zipline Creative is also a company known as Zipline, so Zipline (company) would be an ambiguous WP:INCOMPLETEDAB. — BarrelProof (talk) 13:38, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's a pretty big name difference between the two, no evidence that Zipline Creative is known by "Zipline", and any ambiguity is fixed with a simple hatnote. -- Netoholic @ 15:26, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The article about Zipline Creative refers to that company repeatedly as "Zipline", and it seems obvious this would generally be done as a name simplification. It is also referred to that way on the company's LinkedIn page. Sources about that company are rather hard to find, though. Wikipedia very seldom uses incomplete/partial disambiguation like that. — BarrelProof (talk) 20:38, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't know if you've noticed, but exactly ZERO of the references used for that article even mention "Zipline Creative" or "Zipline". The whole article could be fiction for all we know. Like I said, there is no evidence. -- Netoholic @ 23:57, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I noticed that too. I marked some of the links as dead and I had to look on the web for more sources before I found anything. And I deleted a bunch of unnecessary "WP:coatrack" stuff from that article, which still needs further cleanup. But they do (or did) exist, and the information in the article seems to be true. WP:SIGCOV could be questioned, but this is a naming discussion and that's a different issue. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:07, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Relister comment Lots of options being thrown around, but there is consensus that the current title isn't viable. Can one of the options be settled on? — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 19:01, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sticking with Zipline (drone delivery company), which was my original first selection and was supported by Akrasia25. The other suggestion would be ambiguous. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:28, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And I'm sticking with Zipline (company), as there are still no citations that provide a valid foundation for the Zipline Creative article, and especially no citations which provide evidence that it uses the short name "Zipline" at all. -- Netoholic @ 03:27, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to get Zipline Creative deleted but this was dismissed by an admin so that page will be sticking around. I have to go with what I first suggest and is more clear if a little verbose- Zipline (drone delivery company) Akrasia25 (talk) 23:55, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
