Template talk:Twinkle standard installation
Two new parameters
[edit]I think this template should have the parameters module
and subtemplate
. I have not done anything about module
witch may be used to place templates into more specific categories. I am having trouble with subtemplate
witch I hope to have change the text of this template. (see Template:Twinkle standard installation/sandbox and Template:Twinkle standard installation/testcases) If anyone wishes to help please do so. – Allen4names 20:47, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
- Clarification: A module is a script used by Twinkle. – Allen4names 03:03, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- AzaToth: I noticed your edits in the sandbox. Please try
{{#if:{{{module|}}}|[[Category:Templates used by Twinkle's {{ucfirst:{{{module}}}}} module|{{PAGENAME}}]]}}
in place of{{#if:{{{module|}}}|[[Category:{{ucfirst:{{{module}}}}} templates used by Twinkle|{{PAGENAME}}]]}}

Template text
[edit]As a user does a little work here and there, I was looking at the "Template:Confused" page, which had the actual "Confused" template, the documentation (in its own template), and in the documentation, besides the code for and main template again, this "Template:Twinkle standard installation" template. It is pretty clear now, but it took me a while to figure out what I was looking at.
To make a small contribution to wikiclarification, I made a text order change. Now, a user just looking for template documentation does not have to read the entire Twinkle template or worry about the scary cop face, or figure out what Twinkle is. Instead, they read "If you are planning on making major changes ..." and realize, well, that's not me, and move on.
Anyone more experienced with templates, twinkle, etc. please review, and make sure I said what I think I said!
