Riyen Ramani has invested heavily in Renewable Energy. His companies have built hydroelectric power plants at various sites in the State of Gujarat, India. His first two plants are located at Karjan Dam and Wanakbori Dam, both in the Western State of Gujarat. Investment in Indian ventures was born out of the Vibrant Gujarat Initiative - spearheaded by Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat State at the time; which he was invited to and attended.
