New Semester, New Appeal

[edit]

This semester I am teaching academic writing to a group of teachers at my school. This course starts on Monday Jan 28. I would like to know if you are still interesting in "mentoring". You can see the syllabus at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/SyllabusIf so, please leave a message on my talk page and update the mentor's page Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors, if . If not, please remove your name and information from that page. (Get well soon!) Thanks! Thelmadatter (talk) 20:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help!!!

[edit]

This IP address is used on 3 different computers in a home and has been blocked on the Wikimedia Commons because one of the people using another of the computers linked to the address got a little over their head. They tried to do something about it and make an apology but nothing has gone through. Could you or another administrator who has access to the Commons unblock the IP Address there? It would be much appriciated by me! 99.226.115.81 (talk) 02:17, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Please do not leave anything on the talk page for this IP Address! Leave any feedback you have HERE or on the COMMONS! Thanks again! 99.226.115.81 (talk) 02:18, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipe-tan

[edit]

Re: [1]

No problem on the time, take as much of it as you need! I'd hate for you to keel over because you were vectorizing our little Wikipe-tan :O

But in all seriousness, thank you so much for taking the time to do this, especially considering your recent ill health. All of us really appreciate it.

Hope you are feeling better, and remember to take care of yourself first before worrying over any of our little stuff :) -- Ned Scott 06:09, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Editor at Large, it's been too long. How are you doing? I hope you get well soon, my friend. Cheers! Dfrg_msc 07:34, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not up to much, running about and spreading Bathrobe Cabal propaganda :) I'm getting incrasingly busy in Real Life, but trying to stay well and keeping active. Stay safe, my friend and feel better soon! Dfrg_msc 06:11, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your work

Hello, Editor at Large. I'm Kasuga. I heard that you are making an svg version of Wikipe-tan, from User:Ned Scott. Very thanks for your work. Keep up your good work, and take care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon.--Kasuga (talk) 14:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question about writing wikis

[edit]

Hi Ayelie, I was wondering if you could answer a question about webpage-writing (and sorry if it's a dumb question, I'm just starting to learn this stuff). I have managed to teach myself how to use <div class="XX"> statements in the case of simple things like charts and fonts, but I have noticed that you use other div classes, like the <div class="multilingual"> tag on the Wikimedia Canada page. I can't seem to find any examples of what parameters are available for these other div classes. I have tried looking on the web for a list of all possible div classes and their possible parameters, but I can't find one. Does such a list exist? I'm guessing not since Google can't find one. If there is no universal list of div class parameters, do the div statements and their parameters on wiki sites only work on these sites, like templates? If so, where is the documentation for them? I hope some of that made sense, thank you. --Arctic.gnome 07:10, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HAPPY EASTER!

On a less light-hearted and more serious note, please remember that "He is risen" isn't just a cliché; it's true.
On a more light-hearted and less serious note, please have a wonderful Easter today with you and whoever you like. :)

I figured it's better to have no picture than a picture that doesn't look like the person and is of embarassingly bad quality. If Wikipedia wants a good picture, why not ask him or his employer instead of settling for crap. Spoonkymonkey (talk) 13:24, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you like it (and if you find my signature disturbing or annoying (the text too big), that´s due to the lack of my typeface in some computers, so let me know if that´s the case, since I´m still in the process to make my new one). - Damërung ...ÏìíÏ..._ΞΞΞ_ . --  03:14, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ondine

[edit]

Important! - Round up what few ballet enthusiasts you know on Wikipedia and get them to vote on the proposed merging of the Ondine articles that would see the article about Frederick Ashton's production of the actual ballet, being merged into one about the music.

Wikiproject Ballet article talkpage template help

[edit]

Hi Editor at Large,

Robertgreer suggested that I contact you about a problem I've found with the template for Wikiproject Ballet that is used on article talk space. I've tried to describe the problem here, here and here. If you have time, please let me know if I've described the problem sufficiently and if you know how to fix it. Hey! I am trying to revive WikiProject Dance and am contacting all members to see if they are still available. If you are interested in continuing, please let me know so I can keep you on the members list. If not, let me know and I'll move your name to the inactive members. Please respond on the project talkpage within seven days or you name will be labeled inactive. Please don't reply here. You can always rejoin if you forget to respond. Also, if you have any knowledge on how to design pages, please note that. Thank you! ReelAngelGirl Talk to me! Tea? 14:48, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
