Warning Wikipedia Editors and Admins?

[edit]

As what some will believe to be a parting shot, Jason Gastrich wrote this on his talk page:

I'm going to avoid Wikipedia for awhile. However, I am going to encourage everyone I know to continue contributing. Therefore, don't expect to be hearing from me, but expect to be hearing from them [emphasis added].

What this likely means is that there will be more Gastrich socks, but he's going to try to be less obvious about it. Despite the boasting on his page (i.e., "known" for debates and lectures and having "attracted" debate opponents--the truth is that he's mostly unknown and he seeks out and presumes to challenge those opponents, they don't come looking for him), Gastrich does not have the following or the influence that he claims. The fact is that he tried to use Wikipedia to build that following and influence, and we all saw what happened when he met with resistance. - WarriorScribe 16:35, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gastrich

[edit]

Step away from the car, Sir, and keep your hands where I can see them.

Time to stand back and leave the rope to pay out a bit further, I'd say. Oh, Hooba has an email address @wiki4christ.com - imagine that. - Just zis  Guy, you know? [T]/[C] 15:49, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Par for the course. Gastrich will continue to behave as he always has. For now, it's enough to watch most of it play out, watch him continue to use the same tactics he's always used (including pretenses that other participants are other people to the point of even having "conversations" with them). Given, however, that he's gone off on the "unequally yoked" tangent, I'm wondering if I need to respond. He's been criticized for that, himself, but never responded to the criticisms. To see him use them against others is laughable. It should be interesting to see where arbitration leads. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him continue to push it until he's banned, outright. Then he can play that up, too. - WarriorScribe 02:11, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LBU

[edit]

May I inquire as to why you added the disputed notice back to the LBU page? JoshuaZ 04:28, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I just saw your note on the talk page. JoshuaZ 04:32, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To Do List

[edit]

I was going through some creationist pages and came across an article created by your favorite Wikipedian. I added some scientific notes and criticism. I also noticed the articles [1]. I'm going be adding some criticisms because many of the articles are heavily POV and I could use some help. Arbustoo 06:08, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay...should be able to drop in and do an assist this coming weekend. - WarriorScribe 06:23, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good enough. Thanks. - WarriorScribe 06:42, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added some talk origins criticisms that should suffice. Arbusto 07:28, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"They have no two posting times in common, yet they have days (like Feb. 18) where they switched back and forth, and back and forth, again" is a borderline crazy claim that can be applied to any two users at any time. Arbusto 20:25, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
