Question from Sklevridge (17:14, 4 August 2024)
[edit]I'm trying to add citations for an article which currently doesn't have any but all the sources I can find are French-language. I don't speak French. Are foreign-language sources allowed if they are machine translated? --Sklevridge (talk) 17:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Sklevridge,
- Many articles have sources in languages other than English. What I think you could do, is after you machine translate it, paraphrase it and put it into the article you are working on, but when you cite the source, be sure to include a parameter in the cite web template that says
|language=fr
. Hope this helps! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 04:48, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
