How to suggest ideas about new articles?

[edit]

How do I do this? I don't want to write articles necessarily, but I am a video-game buff, and I'd like to see more developers and creators of games represented, as well as games themselves. Is there a place where I can post suggestions for new pages to Wikipedia? ~ThIcFaMa~ (talk) 17:37, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Requested articles would be the best place to do so. Just be aware that sourcing for individual people is going to be very thin on the ground, as they are generally considered "backstage" personnel (read: the people who are actually in the weeds on a work but overshadowed by the singer/actor/band/studio/"Make You Their Bitch" developer). —Jéské Couriano v^_^v Source assessment notes 17:51, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How to go about questions about music producers?

[edit]

Thank you for looking here! I had a question: I have a particular music creator/producer/composer, whatever you want to call them, and I'd like someone to write an article about them. However, do they need to have a certain amount of followers or the like, or do they need to only follow the rules about having verifiable sources? ~ThIcFaMa~ (talk) 19:48, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The number of followers is completely irrelevant. What matters is if they meet the definition of a notable creative professional or a notable singer, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources that can be summarized in an article. The Requested Articles area is backlogged to the point of uselessness; the best way to see an article written is to do it yourself via the Article wizard. If you are associated with this person, please read conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 20:01, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
