  • User has previously uploaded many pictures without giving any copyright notice, and all were eventually deleted. Previously uploaded identical picture as Liberty.jpg, but was deleted automatically by a bot. Liberty.JPG overwrote a previous (copyrighted) image and as such it wasn't caught by the bot. • Keep - At least one person has tried to remove this image on the basis that it is offensive to Muslims because it may depict God. Deleting it would be a move towards basing decisions on dictatorial religious attitudes. Algabal 21:37, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - The link you provided as a reason why this should be deleted is talking about images that are not for commercial use but easily replaced by free alternatives. Obviously this image cannot be replaced with a free version. It adds to the articles it appears in and should remain in use. Fosnez 04:13, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - There are several other paintings in the public domain that can be used in its place on the Iran page and serve well enough on the Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi page if this were to be removed. It's just a painting; there is nothing to stop a replacement being made and released into the public domain if you really wanted something to convey the same concept for Rumi or Sufism. WA Burdett 07:20, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Algabal's comments are irrelevant; the nomination has nothing to do with religion. The image is copyrighted, and there is already a free picture in the Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi article to depict him. 17Drew 01:36, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - The Image just depicts the personality of Rumi. It doesn't have to do anything with any particular religion. And, this page is dedicated to Rumi. So, no need to delete it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.2.236.143 (talk) 14:35, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
