Get Your Own!
Click on the button below to request a motto. You will be prompted with a template to fill out - please do NOT change the layout. When you are done, click "Publish changes", and we will be automatically notified that you want a motto. Your signature is added automatically. Before you make your request, check out the list of templates here. When you make your request, you get to choose which template you would like your motto delivered in from that list. You can also use the page to pick another template later, if you so desire.

How to handle requests
  1. When you decide to take a request, place {{doing}} at the bottom. Don't forget to sign!
  2. Do not reserve more than one request at a time! Let others have a chance to create mottos, too.
  3. Please avoid reusing mottos. When you think you have one, make sure that you check through the various Closed Requests archives so that you know that it hasn't been used before.
  4. Please try to avoid using mottos that have been the Motto of the Day before. You can check to see if it has in the archives.
  5. When you have your motto, add the motto to the appropriate section in the template, including all appropriate wikilinks.
  6. All mottos that are submitted must follow all of the guidelines for a motto that are listed in the Motto of the Day Guidelines.
  7. When you finish that, put {{done}} under the "doing" template (not forgetting to sign it), and deliver the motto to the users talk page in the specified template.
  8. When you deliver the motto, make sure to ask them to come back and rate the motto, adding the rating to the last section in the template.
  9. Once you have delivered the motto, sit back and wait for a rating. If they like it, especially if it is an original one, give yourself a pat on the back. :) Don't worry about adding it to the closed requests page; Cluebot III will take care of that for you.
