License tagging for Image:ClassIwithcrossbite.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:ClassIwithcrossbite.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:05, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- വിപിന് ചേട്ടൊ, from your comments on the page, it seems you created this image yourself. If so, and if you wish to release the image under public domain, please add {{gfdl-self}} to the image page. Ping me if you need help. Meanwhile, if you are interested, please join WP:INDIA and WP:KERALA, two Wikiprojects aimed at developing Kerala related articles.--thunderboltz(Deepu) 18:53, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
re. Mamankam
[edit]The site omnipelagos.com is a Wikipedia mirror, as is clear from the disclaimer given at the bottom of the page. So I don't think it is necessary for us to worry about plagiarism. I will check up and do some translation from the Malayalam wiki during the weekend. I just saw the page. Good job on that. :-) --thunderboltz(Deepu) 14:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Images
[edit]Hello sir, I noticed you recently uploaded two images (viz., Image:Sreesanth.jpg & Image:Kgbalakrishnan.jpg) with "Wikipedia Screenshot" as the license. Uploading a picture onto the Malayalam wikipedia and then taking a screenshot and posting its cropped version here will not void the image of its copyright status. Unlike the Malayalam wiki, the english wiki has very stringent rules regarding the images that are uploaded. See Wikipedia:Image use policy for more. Hope you will take note of this in the future. Best regards,--thunderboltz(Deepu) 15:08, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
PS: It would be good if you could introduce these ideas on the Malayalam Wikipedia too. It will have to be taken care of sooner or later. Otherwise, the Wikipedia Foundation could be sued for copyright violations.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Ingrid Johansson
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ingrid Johansson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Largoplazo (talk) 22:24, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of S.N. Sadasivan
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on S.N. Sadasivan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.concepts.org/index.php?title=S._N._Sadasivan. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
Cabayi (talk) 07:49, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of S.N. Sadasivan
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on S.N. Sadasivan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Cyriac Pullapilly statement on Nairs
[edit]First of all, Cyriac Pullapilly never wrote a book on Nair hierarchy and few are quoting his notes to validate the hierarchy of Nairs. The statement "... were given Kshatriya functions, but only Shudra status" is ambiguous and never quote everywhere as reference to Nairs. Nairs had Ruling class, Kshatriya class and Shudra class. A cohesion of all these class happened during the formation of NSS that doesn't mean that all Nairs become Shudras. The cohesion of classes happen to unite all Nairs and strengthen the Nair community by increasing the percentage of Nair community for political and social influences. Few has taken the cohesion as a platform to picture all Nairs as Shudras. Such people should read books like Keralaolpathi, Malabar Manual etc to understand the fact that Nairs had been rulers like Samoothiri, Koyi Thampuran, Rajah etc.. These histories cannot be changed.

Speedy deletion nomination of Nalini Netto
[edit]Hello Challiyan,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nalini Netto for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

Chulliyar Dam moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Chulliyar Dam, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

The page Mixed epithelial tumor of ovary has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from http://www.bioline.org.br/request?mj13076. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. — Diannaa (talk) 23:29, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

I have taken every effort to copy edit the contents taken from other websites. I dont know if I have missed anything. Challiyan (talk) 05:30, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
What you missed is the very common-sense suggestion that you are better off writing your own text from scratch based on reliable sources instead of copying and pasting text, then editing it. No copy edit can ever completely make the copied text look original. A lot of journalists, graduate students and authors have disgraced themselves this way. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:23, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

You should probably edit the version of Wikipedia that is in your primary language, if your English skills are poor as you say. There's also the Simple English Wikipedia. There is nothing special about the regular English Wikipedia, it is just one language version among others. Once you improve your English skills, you may request unblock at that time and address your copyright violation issues then. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 18 February 2023 (UTC)

appealing for clemency. I hereby acknowledge that similar actions from my side will not be repeated and I would take all precautions to avoid copyright infringements
Decline reason:
There is no "clemency" to be had here, as it is not our intent to be mean to you or punish you. Rather, the block is to prevent disruptive behavior, specifically the introduction of copyright infringements. You seem either unable or unwilling to acknowledge that this is a problem and how it will need to be solved (specifically, by actually taking the time to improve your English language skills so that you can write in your own words). I am going to revoke access to your talk page, so any future appeals will need to be made through WP:UTRS. But before you do so, please ensure that you have read and fully understood the advice you have been given here, and be specific about how you will follow it when you make your appeal. You are ignoring the advice and instructions you are being given. Either this is due to your language skills, or you are ignoring us deliberately. Either way, you may lose access to this page. Why do you wish to edit here and not on the Wikipedia of your primary language? 331dot (talk) 15:33, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
Reason for unblocking
[edit]As a Malayalam speaker, I am primarily involved in editing in my native language. However, I also have experience editing on the English Wikipedia, as reflected on my edit history. While creating articles in Malayalam, I have noticed that there is no corresponding English article and intend on creating one. Thank you for your understanding. My Uer page in Mal wiki is here https://l8.nu/rv2r Challiyan (talk) 15:48, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- As you have been told, if your language skills do not permit you to edit this Wikipedia without making copyright violations, you cannot be permitted to edit here. As I've suggested, you could edit the Simple English Wikipedia where the required level of English skill is lower(though you still cannot make copyright violations there). If you really would like to edit here, you need to spend some time (months) improving your English skills to permit you to properly paraphrase a source without copy edit tools. I would suggest that you withdraw your request and do one of these two options in addition to continuing to edit the Malayalam Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 15:54, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
