Original - A male Red-and-yellow Barbet, photographed at Lake Manyara National Park. The species is found in eastern Africa where it lives in broken terrain, nesting and roosting in burrows.
Reason
Strong picture of the bird, clear EV as lead of the newly expanded article on the species. Bird noms aren't too popular right now, but I feel this is an interesting and eye-catching enough bird that people will be happy to support.
