It saddens me that I come back to the Wikipedia community (of all places) to find that you have departed this world; I'm a fool for not knowing the news until so late! I will truly miss you devil dog, I've always had a special place for you in my heart and it brings me to tears that a good brother of mine is gone, even though I may have been a little hard! We should not be afraid to mention that Robert took his own life. In the last update to his user page, in April, he disclosed that he was having a difficult time with PTSD, after two deployments to Iraq in five years. To die in battle is not necessarily to die on the battlefield. He gave his life in service of his country, there is no higher sacrifice. I knew he was still fighting PTSD, so I easily guessed the method of his passing. Too many of our soldiers hold the pain inside until something breaks.
