The 1896 AAA Championships was an outdoor track and field competition organised by the Amateur Athletic Association (AAA), held on Saturday 4 July 1896 at the County Cricket Ground, Northampton in Northampton, England, in front of 7,000 spectators.[1][2]

The 14 events were the same number as in the previous year and all 14 event disciplines remained the same.
