The 2022 Andhra Premier League was the inaugural season of the Andhra Premier League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league in Andhra Pradesh, India. organised by Andhra Cricket Association (ACA). The tournament was played from 6 July to 17 July 2022.[1][2][3][4]

In the final, Vizianagaram Royals defeated TBC by 8 wickets to win the inaugural title.[5]

Background[edit]

The Tournament Is Scheduled To Start On Friday, June 7, And Will Conclude On Sunday, June 16. It Will Be The First Edition Of The Tournament.

A Total Of 19 Matches Are Scheduled To Take Place In This Edition Of The Tournament At The .

A Total Of Six Teams Are Going To Participate In The Tournament. These Six Teams Are: Bezwada Tigers, Coastal Riders, Godavari Titans, Rayalaseema Kings, Uttarandhra Lions, And Vizag Warriors.[6][7]

Tournament structure[edit]

Six city-based teams will compete during the school summer holidays.There will be 15 matches in the league stage of the tournament, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-final stage. The winners of both the semi-final matches will be the finalists.
