American college football season
The 2024 Central Michigan Chippewas football team will represent Central Michigan University in the Mid-American Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season . The Chippewas are led by Jim McElwain in his sixth year as the head coach. The Chippewas will play home games at Kelly/Shorts Stadium , located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan .[ 1]
On July 19 the MAC announced the preseason coaches poll. Central Michigan was picked to finish eighth in the conference. They received zero votes to win the MAC Championship .[ 2] [ 3]
