Andahuaylas District is one of the nineteen districts of the Andahuaylas Province in Peru.[1]
Geography
[edit]One of the highest peaks of the district is Saqra Urqu at approximately 4,400 m (14,400 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]

Ethnic groups
[edit]The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (52.01%) learnt to speak in childhood, 47.49% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
