    Aftermath

    [edit]

After Khalo Ghorban's death, Mosadeq resigned and Jahanbani became governor. Reza Khan deployed the Iranian army and Kurdish fighters against Simko, but poor coordination weakened their efforts. On April 3, 1922, Simko's forces defeated Ghorban's troops near Mahabad, seizing their weapons. By July, Simko had strengthened his position and formed alliances with other Kurdish tribes.[2]

The forces of Semitghu with Seyyed Taha wereabout 3000 people, and in addition to these people, about 400 Ottoman fugiitive soldiers also cooperated with them. They had two German Krupp mountain cannon carts and 3 machine guns, and the artillery section was managed by Ottoman fugitive officers.. During the transfer of government forces, Semitgho used the opportunity to destroy Malekzadeh's forces, but he could not fight against the forces of the government, so they retreated towards Salmas.[3]
