CID Ramachandran Retd. SI is a 2024 Indian Malayalam language crime thriller film written and directed by Sanoop Sathyan.[1][2][3] He has also co-written the script with Aneesh V Sivadas.[4][5][6] The film stars Kalabhavan Shajohn, Baiju Santhosh and Sudheer Karamana.[7][8][9] Film produced by Shiju Mispa and Sanoop Sathyan.[10][11]
Plot
[edit]Retired police inspector Ramachandran investigates a case of falsely accused suspects in a rural area, uncovering lies, betrayal, and the real culprit to exonerate the innocent and restore faith in justice.

Production
[edit]Principal photography began on 27 February 2023 with a customary pooja function held at Thiruvananthapuram.[12][13][14][15]
Music
[edit]The film's music was composed by Anu B Ivar and the background score was composed by Anto Francis.[16] The song "Aarum Kaana" was released on 16 May 2024.[17]
Release
[edit]The film was released in theatres on 17 May 2024.[18][19][20]
Reception
[edit]CID Ramachandran Retd. SI received generally positive to mixed reviews.[21] In his review, K R Rajeesh of Now Running praised the performances of the lead actor and wrote, "Overall, it is a quiet thriller with a measured treatment and neat execution."[22] Gopika of The Times of India also gave a positive review rating the movie 2.5/5.[23]
