Consistent Formatting of School Details Tables

Please feel free to discuss the format of uniformed, school details tables here.

At present, the most commonly used table includes the following heading:

  • Crest
  • School (name)
  • Location
  • Enrolment (numbers)
  • Founded
  • Denomination
  • Boys/Girls
  • Day/Boarding
  • Year Entered Competition
  • School Colours


All the text is left aligned

  • School crests are 40px
  • School names are linked to Wikipedia pages using correct school name, no abbreviations or nicknames
  • Locations are linked to Wikipedia pages (where existing)
  • Enrolment numbers are sourced from the school’s Wikipedia pages (where existing) or from the school web pages themselves.
  • The Foundation date is sourced from Wikipedia pages (where existing) or from the school web pages themselves and is a true referenced date i.e. 1910.
  • Denomination are linked to Wikipedia and sourced from the school’s Wikipedia pages (where existing) or from the school web pages themselves i.e. Anglican.
  • Whether the school has Boys or Girls enrolled is sourced from the school’s Wikipedia pages (where existing) or from the school web pages themselves.
  • Whether the school is a Day and/or Boarding school is sourced from the school’s Wikipedia pages (where existing) or from the school web pages themselves.
  • Year Entered Competition if known is a true referenced date i.e. 1910.
  • School Colours is sourced from the school’s Wikipedia pages (where existing) or from the school web pages themselves.
