[edit]The category now includes five players for the Marylands in the NABBP (all major leaguers): Bierman 1870, Carey 1870, Goldsmith 1868-70, Lennon 1869-70, Mathews 1869-70.
A few other major leaguers played for the Marylands during the 1868–1870 seasons "rostered" by Marshall Wright (pp 199, 251, 305).
- 1868 - Mike Hooper (baseball), Ed Mincher --and perhaps Bob Armstrong (baseball)
- 1869 (pro) - Hooper, Mincher, Frank Selman --and perhaps Armstrong
- 1870 (pro) - Hooper, Joe Kernan (baseball), Mincher --and perhaps Armstrong
