Category naming vs main article

[edit]

@Timrollpickering: Just a quick question because the tiger beetle article is on my watchlist: It seems odd for the category naming not to follow the main article, in whose lead the tiger beetles are now described as the family Cicindelidae, apparently based on a changed scientific consensus. Do you have any opinion on the taxonomic issue as such? If yes, one should probably bring this up on the talk page of the article rather than have article and category disagree in the long run. Out of process category moves are often done badly and leave things in the wrong place. Hence they get reverted to the status quo ante and users are encouraged to propose the move properly so it doesn't create such a mess. Timrollpickering (talk) 19:53, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the clarification! Felix QW (talk) 20:16, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
