Untitled[edit]

The following two discussions were on Category:Documentary films critical of Islam, which was merged into this category in this discussion.--Mike Selinker (talk) 13:44, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Broaden[edit]

The category is too specific and incorrectly labeling. What is criticism for one is documentary for another. The one thing we're sure about is the films are about Islam. For example Aching Heart seems fairly neutral to me, but it's still categorized as 'criticism'. Just 'documentary' seems fine to me. --Pereant antiburchius (talk) 19:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A new name[edit]

I'm looking for a new name for this category. It is too general to criticize Islam, by that it could mean that the films are critical of the Islamic religion. I think it should be something more on the lines of: Films that depict Islam-related controversies. --Shamir1 19:25, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I understand, you are saying that this current title is absolutely correct, but too general. Perhaps that name could be better, and more npov. Let me think about this. Bless sins 02:01, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen parts of a few of them and they go more into elements of the Islamic culture rather than criticizing parts of the Quran or anything like that. Any idea of a better title? --Shamir1 02:50, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think this should be similar to "Category:Anti-Christianity in film".Bless sins (talk) 07:49, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Even better would be "Films about Islam" and then including films in general.Bless sins (talk) 07:51, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
