Wolf-Rayet stars are referred to as Type-W or class W stars

[edit]

Are they? While I can find one or two high school textbooks, and one or two instances in Wikipedia, that extrapolate "type W" from "type O", "type B", etc., nobody in the real world actually refers to them this way. Type WR, type WN, type WC, etc, are all relatively common, or simply WR, etc. Lithopsian (talk) 14:56, 25 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
