The Ciel Tower is a skyscraper under construction in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. At over 366 meters high, the developer's sales teams have promised investors that, when completed, it would be the tallest hotel-only building in the world.[1]

Architecture and planning

[edit]

The skyscraper is being built according to plans by NORR group Vice President of Global Marketing Melanie Kurzuk. The sculpture-like design is characterized by tapers in the upper and lower parts of the building, a silver-colored facade and concise recesses in the upper part of the building. A bar and infinity pool are due to be located there.[2]

Over 1,042 rooms, including 150 suites, are to be spread across the tower's 82 floors.[3]

Approximately 12,000 cubic metres (420,000 cu ft) of concrete and over 3,000 short tons (2,700 tonnes) of steel were used for the skyscraper's foundation.[4]

Completion was scheduled for 2023, with the building proposed to open in 2024.[5] The developer, The First Group (company), has stated that the opening would be in the first quarter of 2024.[6]
