Removing the ban on same-sex marriage

The 2024 Colorado same-sex marriage referendum[nb 1] is a proposed constitutional amendment that will appear on the ballot on November 5, 2024. If passed, the amendment would repeal Amendment 43, a 2006 constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in the Constitution of Colorado. A 55% supermajority vote is required for the amendment to be approved.[2]

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ The amendment does not yet have an official letter. It has been referred to as the "same-sex marriage referendum" due to the text of the bill.[1]
