Aanthai (trans: The Owl) is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language psycho thriller film[1], written and co-directed by Millat Ahmad. And directed by Navin Manikandan. The film was produced by Zee 6 Movies and co-produced by Zeenath Parvin, Singapore.

Production

The film was shot in Kashmir, Chennai, Puducherry, Pollachi, Aranthangi and Karaikal. The first look poster was released by director K.Bhagyaraj.[2] The trailer and audio launch were held on 14 August 2023.[3][4]

Soundtrack

The music was composed by S.R.Ram, while lyrics were written by Millat Ahmad. The music rights were acquired by MRT Music.[5]

Reception

Aanthai[6] was released theatrically on 16 February 2024 across Tamil Nadu.[7] The film was released in 2D formats. And received the UA rating from Central Board of Film Certification. Film critic from Chennai Press News wrote Aanthai is vibrant screenplay and unexpected climax are the strengths of the film.[8]
