Armin Rajaei.[1][2] (born September 23, 1995) is filmmaker and director, musician, editor, social activist, CEO of the NGO Arghanoon Art Organization[3] and Blue Diamond group, musician of the National Iranian Orchestra, theater actor and philosophical thinker. In addition to being an international artist, he has received numerous awards for his films and music performances at local and foreign festivals. His works are specialized in the field of Experimental cinema. This Iranian musician is also creating works in the field of Iranian violin. Rajaei made his contribution to the world of writing.
Armin Rajaei was born on September 23rd, 1995, in Baft City, Kerman province, Iran. His childhood was spent in Kerman city, searching and learning art. He started learning the violin at 15 from teachers such as Adel Mansouri and Roozbeh Kalantari. According to him: "Most of my time was spent practicing the violin during that time". By winning the first honorary award at the Homayoun Khorram Music Festival in Iran[4], he entered the field of art. After participating in the art entrance examination, he started his studies at the University of Broadcasting and Television and later continued his Masters in major of Dramatic literature.
Meanwhile, along with his professors, he started his professional career as an editor and assistant director in the I.R.I.B organization and founded the non-governmental organization Arghanoon Art. Together with a group of social activists and employees of his company, he traveled to the deprived areas of Iran and organized cultural, artistic, and educational events for the children of these villages.
In 1998, he was the director of the Asman Paliz festival in the village of Komijan-Arak which its most important programs and goals of this Festival were the dynamism and vitality of rural youth[5][6][7] in Iran. He has also participated in the Iranian food festival[8] and many television talks about the concerns of students in Iran as a social activist. for this purpose he was the student officer in a meeting with the presence of the cultural and student vice president of IRIB University[9]
In the meantime, he did not neglect his artistic activities such as music and theater acting, and he was able to be awarded at the Fajr Theater and Fajr Music Festivals for playing his solo violin and in plays such as: Adam Theater directed by Sholeh Mohammadi[10] and "Majles Siyah Bazi Amir Arslan Namdar" directed by Hila Rezaian[11] in 2018. This artist also performed his violin along with other actors in the shows of "the invisible cities" by the Italian director Pino Dibodu, "Navaye Varash" concert[12], and "Naghme Baran's" concert[13]. In the following years of his artistic life, Armin Rajaei managed the student section and was the director of the Fajr Festival in 2017. After graduating from IRIB University with a degree in the field of animation, digital arts, and television, this artist entered the field of filmmaking and animation and made his first animation called "Frames". when he was a student he directed some projects which led to production of the movie "Din".
Then, he entered the Azad University of Iran to study for a master's degree in Dramatic literature and continued his artistic activity in the field of filmmaking. The result was the production of a short film "Dawn of Death" in the experimental genre, which received awards in international festivals.
Upon release, after being selected for the International Inter-University Film Festival, Fipili Horror Festival[15], Ninth Shimla International Film Festival[16], FIFAK Film Festival, Shavana Shea Film Festival, and as a finalist in the Ethereal Frames festival and "Cannes International Film Festival" this film was recognized as the best experimental short film at the Festival of "Moving Image" from the Artist Forum of America and also Winchester Film Festival[17] for the best new director, and the best short film in shortfundly Film festival. The film Dawn of Death was seen and encouraged at many experimental film festivals.
With a philosophical look at death, this film considers it a window to reach human consciousness and a bridge to life. for a better understanding of this work we can relate to director's summery who said:
"Death is the result of man's primary desire to be, it is through death that the world of human meanings emerges in different cultural contexts. death arises from the world, a widespread darkness and drowns man in themself. man will cross the bridge of life to reach the death of consciousness. Death is not the beginning and the end, death is flowing into existence. human will always and continuously think of death because they must whisper a call from the face of existence"
This film which says a story about the life of a man who lost his wife and narrates the meaning of life and death trapped in every seconds of our timeline. Frames then managed to get selected in Golden Femi film festival, Lift-Off Sessions , and also managed to reach Quarter-finalist in two the "Student world impact" and "WideScreen Film & Music Video" Festival. this film was also the nominee in Festival del Cinema di Cefalù in 2023.
He then faced obstacles in his work and after receiving a golden visa for artists from the Ministry of Culture and Arts of the UAE, he immigrated to the UAE for a better understanding of the world of art and better communication with its elders, and now he is living his artistic life in Dubai and making collaboration with other artists and the production of his second short film called "Darkness Of Dream"
