Bangladesh Air Force Museum is the first aviation museum of Bangladesh located in Agargaon, Dhaka. This museum was opened in 2014 in an effort to preserve and showcase the history, success and development of the Bangladesh Air Force's glorious heritage to the new generation.
Location
[edit]To the west of this museum is the Begum Rokeya Sarani and Computer City (IDB Bhaban) and to the east is the sprawling runway of Tejgaon Airport and the Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar. There is a beautiful lake in the north and green trees and forests in the south.
Background
[edit]On 17 June 1987, the Bangladesh Air Force Museum was first laid. Later in 2014, it was reconstructed and opened to public in a more orderly and well-structured environment on the western side of the runway of Tejgaon Airport, adjacent to Begum Rokeya Sarani. Air Marshal Enamul Bari inaugurated this air museum on 28 September 2014.
Museum Schedule
[edit]The Air Force Museum is closed from Monday to Saturday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and every Sunday except on special days. These can also be boarded in an internal helicopter or plane for a ticket of 30 rupees.
