Binod Ghoshal (Hindi: বিনোদ ঘোষাল; born 28 February 1976) is an Indian writer who won the Yuva Puraskar Award in 2011.[1]
Early life[edit]
Binod Ghoshal was born in Navagram village panchayat area at Konnagar in Hooghly district of West Bengal. His father was a writer who wrote literary works.[2]
Awards[edit]
Ghoshal received the Central Yuva Puraskar in 2011 for his book Danaola Manoos.[3] In 2014 he new story 25[4][5] West Bengal received the Somen Chand Smriti Award of Bangla Academy for the book.[6] He has also been honored with Purva Bharat Award, Mitra and Ghosh Memorial Award, Bijan Bhattacharya Memorial Award, Shailjananda Award. Received 'Best Literary 2020 from Hon'ble Governor on behalf of Sunday Times Kolkata. Bengali writers have participated as representatives in many national and international literary festivals of the country.[7] In 2016, he joined the 'Writers in Residence Programme' at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the invitation of the Hon'ble President of India. Received fellowship from Ministry of Culture, India.
