Breakout is an upcoming prison action thriller film directed by Scott Waugh. The screenplay was written by Richard D'Ovidio, who co-created the stordy with Nicole D'Ovidio. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a man breaking his stepson out of a foreign prison.
Premise
[edit]Terry Reynolds must break his stepson, Daniel, out of a foreign prison after Daniel was framed and sentenced for a crime he didn't commit. Afterwards, Reynolds and Daniel must elude the pursuing prison warden and escape the country.

Production
[edit]Going into the 2023 Cannes Market, Breakout was first announced as a film project for sale that was packaged by Off the Pier Productions and Cindy Cowan Entertainment. The story was created by Richard and Nicole D'Ovidio, with Richard D'Ovidio writing the screenplay. Scott Waugh was hired to direct, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was set to star in the film.[1]
Filming was planned to take place in Eastern Europe in 2023.[1]
