Diana L. Leyden is a Special Trial Judge of the United States Tax Court, having served in that capacity since 2016.

Leyden received her LL.M. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she later taught as an adjunct professor.

Leyden was the first Taxpayer Advocate for the New York City Department of Finance

From 1999 to 2015, she was Director and Clinical Professor for the University of Connecticut School of Law Tax Clinic.[1]

She was a law clerk to Judge Herbert Chabot of the U.S. Tax Court.

"She is the author of Advocating for Low Income Taxpayers: A Clinical Studies Casebook and Practice Handbook (5th ed. 2015) and a contributing author to Effectively Representing Your Client Before the IRS (6th ed.)".[2]
