The Three-Country Train (sometimes called LIMAX) is the train service RE18, operated by Arriva, between Aachen Hbf and Maastricht. From the end of June 2024, this train service will be extended to once an hour from Maastricht to the Belgian city of Liège, hence the name 'Drielandentrein' (Three-Country Train). In Belgium, the carrier of this train is NMBS and this train service is called S43 there. The nickname LIMAX refers to the three largest cities on this route; Li-ège - M-aastricht - A-achen - E-x-press.
