Eddie Speir is an American businessman and a politician. He is the owner and founder of the Inspiration Academy, private Christian school and sports academy in Bradenton, Fl. He is currently running for Congress in Florida`s 16th Congressional district.

Early Life and Education

Eddie Speir was born in Bremerton, Washington to Jill and Robert Speir. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1987. He attended the University of Northern Colorado on a wrestling scholarship where he earned a degree in business administration with an emphasis on computer information systems in 1992.

Business career

Eddie Speir founded a technology consulting firm in 1992. Later the company would expand to include Mortgage Cadence in 1999, a mortgage software company that would be named to Inc. 500’s list of fastest growing private companies 4 times. After he sold the company in 2011 to Accenture, Eddie mentored a startup that would become Sure Med Compliance, a medical company. He is a co-producer of the movie Ragamuffin, the story of Christian singer and songwriter Rich Mullins. Eddie and his wife Claire founded Inspiration Academy in 2013, a private Christian school with an emphasis on mentorship and athletics.

Charity

Eddie Speir operated an orphanage in Peru for seven years that was started by the Voice of the Martyrs, an international nonprofit organization that defends the human rights of Christians around the World. Inspiration Academy

In 2023 Eddie was appointed to the board of trustees at New College of Florida.

Congressional campaign

Eddie Speir is running for Congress in Florida's 16th Congressional district. He is running as a Republican and is a constitutional conservative.
