ION Exchange (India) Ltd. was established in 1964 as a subsidiary of Permutit, which was based in the United Kingdom.[3] In 1965, the company started to make ion exchange resins in India. In 1978,[4] it introduced the Reverse Osmosis technology for the first time in India.[5]
