Draft:Jean C. Edwards
Submission declined on 26 December 2023 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: It is entirely disruptive to re-submit again with no improvement. Theroadislong (talk) 22:13, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Various statements unsourced and no clear indication of WP:SIGCOV references. Obit likely written by family, judging by the tone, and cannot be assumed as independent. Bungle (talk • contribs) 11:22, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: zero change since previous decline? Theroadislong (talk) 14:05, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
Jean Edwards and Jean Curtis Edwards should link here
Jean Curtis Edwards (May 18, 1929 – 2017) was an American farmer, teacher, principal, and state senator in Arkansas.[1] He served in the Arkansas Senate from 1991-2000. He served in the Air Force. He married Artemeze Redwood. They had two sons and two daughters.
Edwards was born in North Little Rock. While a child, his family moved to Sherrill, Arkansas, where he later lived. He graduated from Merrill High School in Pine Bluff.[2] His sister Josetta Wilkins succeeded her husband Henry Wilkins III in the Arkansas House of Representatives after he died. Edwards and Wilkins were the first brother and sister to serve simultaneously in Arkansas' legislature.[3]
Edwards was a member of many organizations including the NAACP. His nephew Henry Wilkins IV succeeded him in the Arkansas Senate.
