It is a film and television entertainment media organization under Mango Super Media Happy Sunshine (Mango TV), founded in 2001. Its predecessor was Hunan Jingshi Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hunan Economic Television Station. Adhering to the innovative thinking of the TV Xiang Army and the corporate philosophy of "craftsmanship and uniqueness", it continuously explores new themes and types of unit dramas.

In 2014, Hunan Economic Television Cultural Communication officially exclusively operated the Hunan TV Urban Idol Weekly Drama slot, and the unit drama "Youth Sunday" was launched. It was renamed "Mango Film and Television" in 2015, and its management unit was changed from "Hunan Economic Television" to Hunan Radio and Television Station. The unit drama was also renamed "Youth Progressive Time" in the same year, and the broadcast time was increased.

Mango Film and Television not only operates the weekly broadcast time slot of Hunan TV's "Youth in Progress", but also produces or invests in a small number of movies, online dramas, or market dramas, etc.

In June 2018, the major asset restructuring of Happy Buy was officially approved. Mango Film and Television, Happy Sunshine, Mango Mutual Entertainment, Tianyu Media and Mango Entertainment were integrated into Happy Buy [2]. In July of the same year, Happy Buy officially changed its name to "Mango Hypermedia" [3].

In April 2021, Mango Super Media changed its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Mango Entertainment, Mango Film and Television, and Mango Interactive Entertainment, to wholly-owned subsidiaries of Happy Sunshine. After the change, these three companies became the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Mango Super Media. Mango Film and Television's main business has been changed to self-made monsoon theaters, and integrated with Mango TV Film and Television Center for operation. Mango Film and Television's existing team has established a new company called "Golden Radiance".

Weekly Drama of "Youth in Progress"[edit]

Note: Starting from 2015, any drama marked with a special "#" indicates that it is not produced by your company, but rather managed under the brand name of a prestigious company due to its entry into the "Youth Progressive Time" theater on Hunan TV. It does not appear in the "Project Display" product collection and official Weibo promotion on Mango Film and Television's official website. The ancient costume mythological dramas produced or invested in by Mango TV, which are not produced or operated by Mango TV, do not have your company participating in the operation. Therefore, they are not labeled as "Mango TV" and are usually inventory dramas left after the merger of the original "Diamond Exclusive Theater" since 2017, so they are not included. The dramas marked with "*" are produced by Mango Entertainment, Tianyu Media and other sub units of Mango Super Media.
