Mashook F, born in Madurai. He is known by his stage name Mashook Rahman as an Indian lyricist working on Tamil language films. After making his debut in an uncredited album One Love – Kadhal Ondrallava (2007) composed by A. R. Rahman, he wrote Khwaja engal Khwaja in Jodhaa Akbar (2008).[1] After a brief break from Tamil film industry, he wrote Sai Shirdi Sai in the movie 99 Songs (2021),[2] written and produced by A. R. Rahman. Subsequently, he wrote Farishta,[3][4][5][6] an independent album for Khatija Rahman, composed by AR Rahman.
He has written the song “Anthem of Harmony” in the Tamil movie FIR (2022),[7][8][9][10] written and directed by Manu Anand, and produced by Vishnu Vishal. He recently wrote a song Jalali in Lal Salaam movie[11] and Periyone in Aadujeevitham[12]
He is a bilingual poet, writes in Tamil and English. Published 3 poetry books. First book titled Mazhaiyuthir Kaalam, second book in English titled FELT, third book titled Sufi Coffee.
He has written various Tamil Sufi independent albums also.
