Max McGuire (16 may 1981)[1] is a canadian director, best known for his film Foreverland. He worked mainly to direct television film for Hallmark Channel[2], Lifetime and Netflix. His film Midnight at the Magnolia has been nominated in the Best TV film shortlist at the 2022 Canadian Screen Awards[3]

Biography

McGuire is affected by cystic fibrosis[4], a chronic illness which inspired his second film Foreverland[5]. The film has been presented at the Whistler Film Festival on December 2011 and then had screen distribution in Canada starting from 15th June 2012[5]. In 2014 it was screened also in Italy to raise funds for research on the illness[6].
