Plot

[edit]The film is produced by WallyBird Productions founder Diane Foster, and is executive produced by Threshold Entertainment’s Lawrence Kasanoff (“Mortal Kombat” franchise) and Oscar winner Jimmy Ienner, with music by Michael Lloyd (“Dirty Dancing”) and Emmy winner Greg O’Connor. My Home Unknown was filmed entirely on location in Los Angeles, California, during the pandemic. Director Yaz Canli aimed for authenticity, choosing real urban settings like Skid Row to depict the harsh realities of homelessness. The film employs handheld camera work and natural lighting to create a realistic, documentary-style feel. Despite the film’s low budget, it has been praised for its production value and vivid cinematography.
In October 2024 is has been announced that Gravitas Ventures has acquired all North American rights to the drama.
