- Comment: The BBC source is great, but the others aren't ones that demonstrate notability. Are there any other available secondary (ie not Facebook) sources? SportingFlyer T·C 02:10, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

The Nottingham Vipers are a women's ice hockey team based in Nottingham, England.
Overview
[edit]The Vipers are based at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, currently competing in the England Ice Hockey WNIHL 1 League (though having previously competed in the Elite League during the 2019-20 season[3][4]). They share their colours of black, gold, and white with the Nottingham Panthers, the Men's Elite League team based at the same venue.
The Vipers were founded in 1987 and promoted to the Premier League (the predecessor to WNIHL 1 and at the time the highest women's league) during the 1991-1992 season[1]. They were promoted to the Elite League for the 2019-20 season[4], but returned to WNIHL 1 the following year.
The Vipers won the WNIHL 1 League in 2019[5] and the Premier League in 2000[1]. Prior to 2023 they were associated with Nottingham Ice Hockey Club[6], but in June of that year became an independent team[7] due to concerns for funding[5][2]. In 2023, the Vipers hosted World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend for the UK[8]
