Otto Wolnek (6 June 1918) was an SS officer during the Nazi era who was assigned to oversee the operations atAuschwitz.[1]
Born in Feldkirch, Austria, Wolnek joined the Nazi party in May 1935. In September 1942 he was drafted into the Waffen-SS and was assigned to Auschwitz, where he managed various guard companies as well as oversaw camp operations until February 1943. He then temporarily transferred to Flossenbürg concentration camp, but returned to Auschwitz in May 1944.
