[edit]Saffron Supply Company was founded in Salem, Oregon by Isaac Saffron and Jacob Rochline in 1910. It began as a small, family-owned business named "The People's Junk Company" that dealt with salvage and scrap.[1] Over time, the company grew in size and scope, expanding its product offerings to include industrial supplies, fixtures, and accessories. The business has remained family-owned throughout its existence, maintaining its local presence while developing a broader customer base.
During the mid-20th century, Saffron Supply Company began to distribute products from well-known manufacturers in the plumbing and industrial sectors. The company adapted to market changes by diversifying its product range to meet the demands of both residential and commercial projects.
In 2020, the business changed hands from Richard Gassner to Adam Stout and Randy Snow. Adam and Randy maintain the company's ideals of focusing on the local community, and employ people from the greater Salem area.[2]
