Sarah Bujold (born 26 February 1996) is a Canadian ice hockey player and unrestricted free agent. She most recently played with PWHL Montreal during the 2023–24 season of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
Bujold played in U Sports women's ice hockey during university and has also played in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) and Premier Hockey Federation (PHF).
Playing career
[edit]Bujold played five seasons of college ice hockey with the St. Francis Xavier X-Women ice hockey program in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference of U Sports during 2014 to 2019.
- – U Sports All-Star First Team 2016–17 and 2017–18
- – 2017 Brodrick Trophy as U Sports women's ice hockey Player of the Year[1][2]
- – X-Women record book: 7th in career points, 6th in career goals, 10 in single-season points, 6th in single-season goals[3]
- – ended career with an average of 0.93 points per game[4]
– planning to play for Les Canadiennes de Montréal in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) after graduating but the league folded in May 2019[5]
– played three seasons in the SDHL
- – 2019–20 SDHL season and 2020–21 SDHL season with Djurgårdens IF Hockey
- – second in scoring on team both seasons[6] (behind Jenn Wakefield and Josefine Jakobsen, respectively)
- – 2021–22 SDHL season with HV71 → led team in scoring with 20+14 for 34 in 29
– 2022–23 PHF season with Metropolitan Riveters
- – started season as PHF first star of the week[4]
- – third in team scoring, behind Madison Packer and Kelly Babstock[7]
- – re-signed for 2023–24 PHF season before league was bought out and dissolved[8]

- – went undrafted ("My agent and I definitely thought I would be drafted, even if only in the later rounds... it was disappointing")[6]

Personal life
[edit]– younger sister, Sophie, plays ice hockey with the UPEI Panthers women's ice hockey program[11]
She was in relationship with HV71 and Metropolitan Riveters teammate Ebba Berglund for several years during the early 2020s.[12]
