Shawanda Corbett is a contemporary visual and performance artist. Born in 1989 in New York, Corbett's formative years were spent in Mississippi.[1] Shawanda Corbett holds a PhD in fine arts from the Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University.[2] She represented the U.K. at the Venice Biennale in 2023. [3]
Career
[edit]In 2022 at Salon 94 in New York City, Corbett had her first solo presentation in the United States titled To the Fields of Lilac.[4]
