Shub Debgupta is an Indian-American entrepreneur and economist. He is the founder and CEO of Predict Health, Inc..[1]. Debgupta previously founded WiserTogether, Inc.,[2] a patient navigation solution that was acquired by Evive Health.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Shub Debgupta was born in Mumbai, India, in February 1973. He attended Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, before earning a scholarship to study at the United World College of the Adriatic in Italy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1994. Debgupta then pursued graduate studies at Cornell University, earning a Master's degree in Labor Economics in 1996 and a PhD in Economics in 1999. At Cornell, he was a Sage Fellow and conducted research alongside economists such as Kaushik Basu.
Career
[edit]Shub Debgupta began his professional journey in economics and consulting, later transitioning into entrepreneurship where he founded two companies: WiserTogether, Inc. and Predict Health, Inc. Debgupta's work has focused on leveraging technology and data-driven insights to enhance healthcare delivery.[3] in the sector[4]
Predict Health, Inc. In November 2019, Shub Debgupta founded Predict Health, Inc., an AI-driven member intelligence platform designed for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial healthcare payors. The company serves over one million healthcare consumers.
WiserTogether, Inc. Before Predict Health, Debgupta founded WiserTogether, Inc.,[5] a patient navigation solution that was later acquired by Evive Health, Inc. Under his leadership, WiserTogether grew to serve over three million people through partnerships with employers and health plans[6].
CEB, Inc. Debgupta's early career included a leadership role at CEB, Inc. (later acquired by Gartner, Inc.), where he was part of the founding team for the Benefits Roundtable and led the Compensation Roundtable and Total Rewards Forum.
PwC LLP From 1999 to 2002, Debgupta worked as an economist and senior associate at PwC LLP, advising clients on economic and pricing issues across various industries.
