Sophie Brown, known professionally as Sophie Harkness, is a Northern Irish actress.

Early life

Born to parents Linda and Stephen Brown, Harkness is from Greenisland, County Antrim. She has a twin sister and an older sister, and her cousin is Welsh actress Erin Richards. Harkness attended Belfast Royal Academy and then Methodist College Belfast for sixth form. She studied at Drama Studio London.[1]

Career

Harkness made her feature film debut in the 2014 horror film X Moor. She made her television debut the following year with a main role as Sinead in the BBC Northern Ireland series Number 2s (reprising her role from the BBC Radio Ulster pilot)[2][3] and a recurring role as Yarah in the third and final series of the CBBC science fiction series The Sparticle Mystery. She also appeared in Shibboleth and The Weight of a Tonne at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.[4]
