Sthree is a Malayalam-language drama film directed by P. Bhaskaran and produced by Mohammad Assim. It made its theatrical release on September 14, 1970. The film stars Sathyan, Sharada, Adoor Bhasi and K. P. Ummer in the lead roles.

Plot summary

Savithri, a poor girl, falls in love with Vijayan, a wealthy poet and advocate. Despite their financial differences, they marry. A tragic incident occurs when Savitri accidentally kills a man who attempted to rape her. Accused of murder and adultery, she is imprisoned. Vijayan defends her successfully but faces opposition from his mother. To save her family from poverty after another false accusation, Savitri becomes a prostitute. She later agrees to be Balan's concubine to support her sister, Leela.
