Susan Schulze Hoff is an American business executive, fitness model, and philanthropist, known as the co-founder of Fantesca Estate and Winery.[1][2] She is the daughter of Richard Schulze, the founder of Best Buy.[3]
Early life and education
[edit]Susan was born in January 1965 in Minnesota and attended Henry Sibley High School until 1983. Later, she went to the University of Minnesota and earned a bachelor's degree in advertising and graphic design in 1987.[4] Later, she attended KEDGE Business School in France to obtain an executive MBA degree in Wine Commerce Studies in 2007.[5]
Career
[edit]In college, Susan worked in the stores of Best Buy.[6] She founded the Best Buy Foundation in 1994, the philanthropic wing of Best Buy Inc.[7][8][9] She served as Chief Communications officer (COO) of Best Buy until 2006 and as CEO of the Best Buy Foundation until 2013.[10]
Susan and her husband, Duane Hoff, bought 53 acres of land in Napa County and founded Fantesca Estate and Winery in 2004.[11][12][13] Susan and her husband left their executive posts at Best Buy in 2006 to focus on their newly established wine business.[14][15] Susan is also the founder of Best Buy Children's Foundation.[16]
Modelling and fitness
[edit]Susan has been a World Beauty Fitness & Fashion (WBFF) Pro since 2013.[17] She has been featured on the cover of BodyScape Fitness Magazine twice in 2018 and 2023.[18] She is also the winner of the 2019 Mrs. North America Globe Classique Pageant. Epic Fit Magazine also featured Susan on the cover of its second edition in 2022.[19] Susan appeared on the cover of FHM's February 2024 issue, a fitness magazine.[20][21] She was the cover model for Muscle & Fitness Hers in October 2023.[17] She was also the cover model for Playboy December 2023 magazine.
Susan has been attending the Mardi Gras every year with her husband since 2001.[22] In 2017, in honour of their 29th wedding anniversary, they were named King and Queen of the Krewe of Mid-City.[23][24][25]
Personal Blog
[edit]Susan has an online personal blog named "Oath and Grind," where she frequently shares her routines and reviews on fitness.[26]
