Tomass Štolcermanis (born 28 May 2007) is a Latvian racing driver currently competing in the 2024 Formula 4 UAE Championship for Prema Racing.[1]
Career
[edit]Karting
[edit]He began his competitive karting career in 2017, where he placed 10th in the Mini MAX category of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, he won the junior category of it in 2021.
2022 was his most successful season, as he bagged two karting titles, one in the United States in the SKUSA SuperNationals XXV in the KA100 Senior class, where he came 2nd in the X30 Senior class as well.[2] The Latvian also won the Champions of the Future - Winter Series in the OK class. He came 7th in both the CIK-FIA European Championship and the CIK-FIA World Championship in the OK class.
He came third in the WSK Champions Cup in OK machinery and finished 3rd in the CIK-FIA European Championship competing in the KZ2 class. Štolcermanis came 4th in the OK class of the CIK-FIA European Championship.
Formula 4
[edit]Formula 4 South East Asia Championship
[edit]The Latvian made his Formula 4 debut in the third round of the 2023 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship at the Sepang International Circuit for Prema Racing.[3] He would come 6th, 4th and 3rd in the three races respectively.[4]
Formula 4 UAE Championship
[edit]Štolcermanis was announced for Prema Racing for the final two rounds of the 2024 Formula 4 UAE Championship. At his first race in Yas Marina Circuit, he came in 25th, at the second race he came in 16th, and retired from the third race.[5]
At the Dubai Autodrome, he got his first point in the series, finshing in 10th place, and in the second race he finished in second place, snagging his first podium in the series. He retired from the final race of the season after colliding with Frenchman Raphaël Narac. The Latvian came 18th in the drivers championship with 19 points.[6][7]
