Giir Thiik Bol is a South Sudanese rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer and a record producer known by his stage name, (Tylerbrizyy). He was born on 14th May 2003 in (Juba, South Sudan). Tyler started singing and rapping at age of twelve back in 2015, he was inspired by the likes of Chris Brown, Travis Scott, and his cousin (BOKA)[1]. Tylerbrizyy decided to pursue music as a career after he discovered he can sing and rap. He rose to fame when he dropped his first single titled Soul featuring a South African rapper, (Jr Swiss) which reached #2 position on Uganda Top 100 Itunes Chart.
Early Life
[edit]Giir Thiik Bol was born in Lietnhom, Warap State[2] Bahr el Ghazal (region of South Sudan) 14 May, 2003. He was named after his great-grandfather called Giirdit. His parents divorced when he was eleven, and he settled at his uncle's house with his mother and sisters. Three years later, his parents got back together and decided to settle as one family. In 2015, he was introduced to making music by his cousin who used to sing. From right there, Tyler started having love for making music here and there with his cousin and step-brother. Tyler never had studio equipment for making music, all he had was a pair of earphones and his step-brother's laptop which had a multitrack recording software called (Mix pad) produced and developed by [NCH Software] for recording and mastering music.
Career
[edit]Tylerbrizyy started his music career heavily in 2017 when he moved with his parents and siblings to Kampala, Uganda for further studies. Tyler was busy with school while making music on the low without his parents knowing except his step-brother Mou Thiik Bol who knew that Brizyy, has a great talent and love for music. Tyler released his first ever song (Fame) with his friend named Yb Uzi when they were still in primary school (Middle School). Tyler never had any access to afford studio time because of the high prices the producers charge and to make things worst he was just a middle school student and so he could watch YouTube tutorials at home and learn how music daws work and went on to download some music softwares which he used to make songs by recording using only the earphones and he managed to make good songs with it but they were never released till today. He never knew about music distribution until 2018 when he started watching tutorials again on YouTube and later released his first ever song titled Fame on all music platforms. Which he got a positive feedback from his friends and encouraged him to keep making more. After the music struggle he had been through since 2014, finally became a professional in making music and he is known now for his amazing songs he dropped since the pandemic started in 2019 up to today. Tylerbrizyy released his first ever self made album titled Tylerbrizyy which featured South African singer and rapper Swiss Jr and his fellow South Sudanese rapper M-Korn Chopper. The album consisted of 18 songs of which four of his songs (Soul, Drip, I Will Manage and Fame) became popular making it his first 4 hit songs he has ever released in his music career. Later on in 2024, Tylerbrizyy surprised his fans with his second studio album titled 12 LIVES ON MY BACK which is a 9 track solo album with no features in it and it again managed to get 7 songs (Drip-Extended Version, Jump In The Wave, Summer, Town Dreams, Demon Mode, Night Times Am High, and No Way) to become popular making his second album another successful moment for his career.
Artistry
[edit]Tylerbrizyy makes different kind of genres of which he is good at all of them, the genres include (Afrobeats, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Uk Drill, and Trap). He has cited a number of artists as his inspiration, specially Chris Brown. Tyler emphasizes Chris Brown is the reason why he makes music and why he is an artist right now. Travis Scott has also influence Tylerbrizyy when it comes Hip Hop Genre. Other influences from Hip Hop side include Post Malone, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby and Jay-Z. When it comes to his rapping side, he mixes a lot of flow from different rappers while on his singing side, he draws ideas from the likes of Post Malone, Chris Brown, Justin Beiber, Rema (musician) and many others.
Education
[edit]Tylerbrizyy was born and raised in Juba, South Sudan. He attended the Juba Model Primary School where he studied part of his primary school (middle school) and later on went to other schools in Uganda to complete his remaining middle school classes and it was there he got into making more music and co-founded an independent record label called Snapii Gang Records with his friends Tong, Akuei and Emma to distribute their music. He then passed his primary school and went to High School where he attended Merryland High School-Kigungu Compass.[3]

Discography
[edit]Tylerbrizyy released his debut (EP) titled (Dark Night) where two tracks (Drip and I Will Manage) became popular following his single (Soul). On (May 3rd, 2023), Tylerbrizyy dropped his remix for PEOPLE by Cameron superstar Libianca Fonji which earned over 120k total streams on Spotify and also reached the #146 position on R&B/Soul Niger (Top 200 Chart on Apple Music). His hit song "Soul" was #6 on Ugandan iTunes Top 100 Songs. With all the songs and albums he has released so far, he hasn't received any awards yet but he got a lot of the virtual awards ones. Tyler released (2) studio albums and more than (30) studio songs and (1) studio EP With his South African Friend and his fellow Sudanese rapper M Korn.

[edit]When it comes to albums, Tylerbrizyy has a total of 2 studio albums titled (12 Lives On My Back| 2024) and (Tylerbrizyy-Self Made Album| 2015). Tylerbrizyy has been releasing only Ep’s since he started his music career till back in 2015 when he really focused on his first big project to release the year and finally ended up with a self made album with 2 features on it from a South African rapper and singer Swiss Jr and his fellow South Sudanese rapper M-Korn Chopper.
